CD Cover Work

For my front cover I used the image of a path-way with a street light. In my design I tried to show a guy with a broken heart . I used Fire Works to produce my design. I also used Photo Shop to make this CD cover. To help draw the design I made use of tablets to make this part easy.

The back cover has the lists of tracks and a background of a street and a picture. The main thinking behind my design was the broken heart on the body that really stands out, so it would catch people’s eye. The stages I went though to get to this point was by looking at what an Artefact is, Analysing CD Covers by professional designers and by looking at package analysis.

Mr Smith Batman Intro

Evaluation of Unit 4 - Creating A Record.
1) The atmosphere on my intro is dark and mysterious and Batman is also dark and mysterious. The music i made is the underscore for the opening credits of Batman
2) The sounds that I have chosen to begin the work is slow and steed sounds I rejected sounds that are loud and fast.
3) The choices i have made to develop my music as the credits unfolds is a slow constant beat as the credits unfolds
4) How I created my Batman theme is i used an Electric Piano and Indie Kit Live
5) As the 'Gotham City' scene begins the music dies down.
6) What I would of done differently is make more sounds that could last long.

Chris Brown CD Words

  • The designer has used the colours white and black because they stand out together
  • The image they have used is the image of the artist. The album is aimed at teenagers so they made him look urban to it active teenagers.
  • The typography the designers used is very good because it has geaffiti and that what teenagers like also they changed the letter I in his name to a mic phone instead.
  • My information on the CD cover is the list of tracks, Record label and bar code.
  • My impression of the CD cover was very urban and that this is the type of thing that teenagers like.

B.I.G CD Work

  • The designer has used the colours red, white and black. They have used red because it stands out.
  • They have used the image B.I.G because the album is about him and other people who looked up to him and that are famous too.
  • The typography on the front is simple.
  • The logo on the left hand side shows that there is swearing on it.
  • Is a nice picture of him and if you are a fan of him you would like it and the colours are also strong.
  • There is not really a target market just if you like hip hop you would like this music from ages (11 -13)

Batman Movie Work

The Batman movie I'm doing a research on was made in 1989 and was made in between October 1988 to January 1989.

The movie was created in Pinewood Studios the major British film studio situated in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, approximately 20 miles (32 km) west of Central London.

The producers of the film were Peter Guber, Jon Peters, Michael Uslan and Benjamin Melniker. The director of the film was Tim Burton who is also famous for films like Batman, Batman Returns, Planet of the Apes, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the up coming film in 2010 Alice in Wonderland. Benjamin Melniker is also famous for producing all the batman films including Batman Returns made in 1992 and The Dark Knight made in 2008. He even produced The Spirit in 2009.

The Music was made by Danny Elfman and Prince the American singer.

The screen play also known as the plot is:
After a young boy witnesses his parents' murder on the streets of Gotham City, he grows up to become the Batman - a mysterious figure in the eyes of Gotham's citizens - who takes crime-fighting into his own hands. He first emerges out of the shadows when the Joker appears - a horribly disfigured individual who is out for revenge on his former employer and generally likes to have a good time.

Editor -Editing is the process of preparing language, images, sound, video, or film through correction, condensation and organization.

Producer - A person that creates the conditions for making movies.
